Trude Holli left a busy and successful media and journalism career to passionately pursue her dream of helping couples and families improve their quality of life. In 1999, she received her master's degree from Northern Illinois University. She is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and also a trained Clinical Hypnotherapist.
Since then she has worked in hospitals and outpatient settings and has developed expertise in helping people with depression, bipolar disorders, anxiety, and relational problems related to co-dependency, infidelity, and lack of intimacy. Furthermore she has extensive experience helping clients recover from the effects of sexual and physical trauma, sudden career changes, death, and divorce. Trude also helps clients rebuild self-confidence, manage grief, develop the ability to regulate emotions, and overcome revengeful anger. Furthermore she is an experienced facilitator of therapy groups.
When Trude was a young adult with children, she emigrated from Norway. Her own experiences have sensitized her to the particular dilemmas people encounter when assimilating into a new culture, language, and life style. Her experiences also help her be a resource for women who navigate through role overload and for young parents who need parenting role models. Her clinical experience has cemented her belief in people's resiliency when provided the appropriate tools and opportunity to practice using them. Her work involves active approaches to dealing with life's challenges.
Trude works out of the St. Charles Office.
