Elizabeth Davy, M.S.W., LCSW 

Elizabeth Davy is the Director of the Centennial Counseling office in Yorkville and a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in the State of Illinois.

Elizabeth received her Bachelor's degree from Drake University in Philosophy, Religion and Sociology in 1986 and her Master's degree in Social Work from the University of Michigan in 1987. In addition, Elizabeth received her life coaching training from MentorCoach in Bethesda, Maryland, an organization credentialed by the International Coach Federation.

Elizabeth has extensive training and experience in play therapy, particularly with children who have witnessed or directly experienced trauma, including childhood sexual abuse, parental murder, parental suicide, and child pornography. Elizabeth enjoys working with women around issues of stress management, life balance and meaning, and with couples and families, especially those who are experiencing the challenges of second marriages and blended families. In addition, Elizabeth feels passionate about her therapy and supervision work with other therapists who are experiencing compassion fatigue, an area of special interest to her.

Throughout her career, Elizabeth has been employed as a therapist and administrator in the United States and Great Britain. Prior to her arrival at Centennial Counseling, Elizabeth was the Clinical Director at Family Counseling Service of Aurora. She has been published, has worked in residential and in-patient settings, and has held adjunct faculty positions as a field instructor for several universities and colleges. Besides her clinical work, Elizabeth currently teaches at Waubonsee Community College.

Daniel Bingham, Psy.D.

Daniel Bingham received his Doctorate in Clinical Psychology and Master of Arts in Clinical Psychology from Wheaton College. He received his Bachelor of Science in Natural Sciences from Xavier University.

Daniel has provided clinical services in outpatient, residential, inpatient, forensic and university counseling center settings. His clinical interests include working with the religious, spiritual, theological and existential dimensions of personhood. He received specialized training in addressing these components and resources at the Danielsen Institute at Boston University. Daniel's training has included the provision of individual, group, couples and family therapy, and psychological assessment.

Daniel has had considerable experience working with long—standing depression and anxiety and addressing aspects of personality that can interfere with relationships and intimacy with significant others. He has expertise in gender issues—specifically, identity development and how we understand our internal experiences according to gender. Daniel's doctoral dissertation analyzed how the stress of gender roles affects what emotions are seen in others.

Daniel has taught undergraduate courses in Spiritual Discernment & Differential Diagnosis and Counseling & Psychotherapy. In addition, he has led a wide range of groups utilizing varying therapeutic modalities. These have included Alcohol and Other Drug Relapse Prevention, Anger Management, Spirituality, and both shorter and longer—term Relationship groups. He has enjoyed consultation with groups and community organizations and welcomes future opportunity to speak with school, community, and religious organizations regarding mental health or relationship issues. Daniel will be working out of the Yorkville office.

Julie Burnett, Psy.D., LCPC 

Julie Burnett received her Doctorate in Clinical Psychology and Master of Arts in Clinical Psychology from Wheaton College, and she received a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Taylor University. She is a member of the American Psychological Association, and has presented at national conferences on issues of parent training and marital satisfaction.

Julie has provided clinical services in a variety of settings, including outpatient counseling, adolescent and adult partial hospitalization programs, inpatient hospitalization programs, and a college counseling center.

Julie enjoys working with children, adolescents, adults, couples, and families. Her areas of special interest include play therapy, womens issues, marital enrichment, and parent training. Julie has led groups for children and adolescents struggling with a variety of issues including depression, anxiety, behavior problems, anger management, and friendship skills. She has also led groups on parent training, and has presented in the community on topics such as suicide prevention and awareness, how to stand up against peer pressure, and building spiritual disciplines into marriage. Julie conducted research on marital satisfaction during the empty nest stage for her doctoral dissertation.

Julie believes in prevention and enrichment education, and she welcomes the opportunity to speak to local school, community, and church organizations on topics related to family relationships, mental health concerns, and personal growth. Julie works out of the Yorkville Office.

Jennifer McKay,  Psy.D., LPC

Jennifer McKay received her Doctorate in Clinical Psychology and her Master of Arts degree in Clinical Psychology from Wheaton College. She received her Bachelor of Arts in psychology from Malone College.

Jennifer has provided clinical services in a variety of settings, including outpatient counseling, adult partial hospitalization programs, inpatient hospitalization programs, residential treatment facilities and has provided consultation for a variety of community—based organizations.

Jennifer is passionate about working with children, adolescents, young adults, and families. Her areas of interest include life transitions, depression, anxiety, and family relationships. She has led groups for children and adolescents struggling with a variety of issues including depression, anxiety, behavior problems, and anger management. She has also led groups on stress management, and has presented in the community on topics such as effective communication, self—injury, and using activities with families to promote wellness. Jennifer conducted research on the effects of camping on childhood personal, social and spiritual development for her doctoral dissertation.

Jennifer is committed to prevention, community development and education, and she welcomes the opportunity to speak to local school, community, and church organizations on topics related to family relationships, mental health concerns, and personal growth. Jennifer works out of the Yorkville Office.

Kelly Urbon, M.A., LCPC 

Kelly Urbon is a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor and has been working in clinical practice since 1988. Prior to joining Centennial in 1999, Kelly served as the Associate Director of Counseling at Wheaton College. Kelly's practice includes work with individuals who are experiencing depression, anxiety, anger, relationship conflicts, grief, loneliness, and trauma history. She also works with couples in marital therapy, and is a skilled group facilitator. In addition, Kelly has developed extensive specialized expertise in working with eating disorders.

Kelly received her bachelors degree in Biblical Studies from Evangel College, and her masters degree in Clinical Psychology from Wheaton College. Kelly also has experience working in an inpatient hospital setting and in private practice. Before training to become a therapist, Kelly spent 2 years in inner-city Philadelphia, pursuing her interest in working with underserved populations. She has also been a licensed foster parent.

Besides her work as a therapist, Kelly has been an adjunct professor of psychology at Judson College, has co-authored a chapter in eating disorders in Helping a Neighbor in Crisis (Tyndale Publishing, 1997), and is a member of the American Associationof Christian Counselors. She offers psychoeducational workshops on a number of issues, and has a special interest in programs for girls and women that may prevent the development of eating disorders.
