Kimberly Boatner, M.S.W., CADC

 

Kimberly earned her Masters in Social Work from Loyola University at Chicago and completed her undergraduate degree from the University of Illinois at Chicago. In addition to her MSW, Kimberly has also obtained her certification in alcohol and drug counseling.

Kimberly has training and experience in working with children, adolescents, adults, couples and families. She has provided therapy in both inpatient and outpatient settings. Kimberly has created and led several groups which include a relapse prevention program for addicted adults, older adults struggling with life transitions, and elementary children coping with depression and self-esteem. She has also been a guest speaker at the graduate school for clinical psychology at Wheaton College and at the Depression and Bipolar Support Alliance (DBSA).

Kimberly has worked with children, adolescents, and adults to treat issues that include ADHD, Autism spectrum disorders, anxiety, conduct disorders, mood disorders, school refusal, marital challenges, life transitions, grief/loss, gender issues, addictions (behavioral and chemical), communication, and family conflict.

Kimberly is dedicated in aiding the future development of the local community and welcomes the opportunity to speak at schools, churches, and local organizations. Kimberly works out of the Yorkville office.
