Jessica L. Novak obtained her Master of Social Work from George Williams College of Aurora University. She is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and a Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor. Jessica is a member of the National Association of Social Workers.
Jessica has provided therapeutic services in many settings, including inpatient hospitalization programs, partial and intensive outpatient hospitalization programs, outpatient therapy, residential and transitional living for individuals with chronic mental illnesses and long-term care living for the elderly. Prior to joining Centennial Counseling Center, Jessica was employed at Linden Oaks Hospital at Edward in Naperville and Dreyer Medical Clinic in Aurora. Jessica completed an internship with the Aurora Police Department in Aurora, Illinois. Jessica has presented awareness and educational information in surrounding communities for clinicians, parents and educators, and at local high schools for students, faculty and staff. Jessica has also presented to other professionals nationally at the American Academy of Addiction Psychiatry (AAAP).
Jessica enjoys working with children, adolescents and adults in individual, family and group therapy. Jessica's areas of special interest include substance addictions - including those with both a substance abuse issue and other mental health diagnosis. Jessica works with children (ages 8 and above), adolescents, women's and relationship issues, anxiety, depression, bipolar and psychotic disorders. Jessica also specializes in issues related to life transitions and grief and loss. Additionally, she loves working with others who are interested in exploring and discussing their faith. Jessica works out of the Yorkville Office.
