Angela Allen, Psy.D.
Angela Allen-Peck received her Doctorate in Clinical Psychology and Masters of Clinical Psychology from Wheaton College. Angela has worked in a variety of settings including inpatient hospitalization programs, intensive outpatient programming, partial hospitalization programming, residential facilities, schools, and outpatient community mental health. Angela completed here pre-doctoral internship at the Institute of Living - Hartford Hospital in Connecticut, which has been ranked as one of the nation's top psychiatric hospitals.
Angela believes that every individual has the capacity for growth, wellness, and healing. She enjoys working with any psychological issue that challenges an individual's sense of self - including mood disorders, anxiety disorders, phase-of-life issues, personality disorders, and other chronic psychological issues. She is especially passionate about working with severe mental illness and supporting families around these diagnoses. Angela's clinical experiences include work with individual's through the life-span including children, adolescents, adults, and older adult populations in individual, group, couple, and family therapy formats. In addition to her psychotherapy experience, Angela enjoys psychological assessment and has received training in clinical hypnotherapy from the American Society of Clinical Hypnosis.
Angela currently serves as an adjunct faculty member at Judson University and holds an advisory position on the board of an adoption agency. Angela is deeply committed to advocacy and the de-stigmatization of mental illness. She enjoys consulting with community groups and welcomes opportunities to speak on mental health issues. Angela works out of the Sandwich Office.
